Q

If I test positive for COVID-19 right before my cruise or on the cruise, what is your refund policy and what associated costs are covered?

A

If you are sailing on a cruise that departs on or before May 31, 2023, and test positive for COVID-19 within 5 days prior to sailing, you may be covered under our COVID-19 refund policy. To be eligible, guests must meet the following requirements:

  • You must notify Royal Caribbean of the cancellation within 24 hours of receiving your positive test result and no later than noon on the sailing date.
  • Test results must be submitted to Royal Caribbean no later than 24 hours after the scheduled sailing date.
  • The submitted positive test result must be dated within 5 days of your sail date and taken under live supervision (telehealth or in-person).

*Last modified April 6, 2023. Subject to change. “Traveling Party” means your family members living with you in the same household and traveling companions assigned to your stateroom on the cruise. Conditioned upon compliance with the RCG COVID-19 Policies and Procedures in effect at the time of the cruise. To qualify for a refund, if your COVID-19 test was administered by a provider other than one retained by Royal Caribbean, you must present your verified positive test result in a form acceptable to Royal Caribbean. Additional terms and conditions apply. See our COVID-19 Refund and Cancellations Policy and your Cruise Ticket Contract for details.
